i just finished and i cant tell which of these stories are made up and which are real. i have my suspicions on time, it doesnt make sense to me that someone would invite you to buc-ees. no offense
I think "Pastrami" was my favorite, with "Derealization" and "Time" a close second and third.
The funniest line was "What if he kills me and eats me? I didn’t think he would; I knew that he was a devout Christian and I was certain that the Bible had rules against this sort of thing. But you never know." I'm still chuckling now.

i needed to use the restroom while typing this so i already feel a baseline level of irritated. however in your own pursuit of authenticity i feel you have gotten sucked into the vortex of writing fictitious drivel that has no value other than maintaining a shelf life longer than your memory. you have good prose but i should have read another post before diving into this one
